And so the journey through John’s first Epistle continues…
He said, in 1 John 4:21, “And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.”
Bottom line!!!
Living with hate/unforgiveness/bitterness toward others isn’t a godly thing. John, earlier in the chapter, said that we can’t say we love God and, at the same time, hold any angst toward someone…especially toward another believer in Christ. Doing so simply can not co-exist in the Kingdom.
Jesus once said the greatest of all commandments issue to love God with everything you got and to love your neighbor much as you love yourself.
There’s no way around it. If you claim to be in relationship with God, let the bitterness toward others go.
