Back in 2008, after the release of my 2nd book, I worked on a personal mission statement that included my values and a vision statement that would forecast the next few years of my life. Now, if you know anything about MVVs, you know that mission statements capture who you are, values list out what you believe and vision statements project your life over the course of a few years. Mission and values usually stay firm and grounded, but vision changes, over time, as you move toward making said vision a reality.
Well, a few years later, my vision statement is on the verge of changing again.
One component of the vision statement I wrote out a few years back included the completion of my 3rd book by the time I turned 35. And, quite honestly, I thought it was too ambitious of a goal to make given that my 2nd book just released. Well, I make that turn in January and, I’m elated to divulge that my 3rd literary work is on the verge of making its public appearance.
I spent the past 2 weeks cranking out my manuscript and landed a new publisher. We were originally scheduling for a summer release, but, because of my swift sketching these past few weeks, we’re now scheduled for a spring release.
I’m ecstatic to say the least!
Anyway … as the year comes to a close, I’ll be working on formatting and graphic designs for the cover. This is where you come in. I need some ideas for the cover and I’d love to hear your thoughts. The book is titled, “66: The ‘I Am’ in Me” and it’s another catalogue of spoken word pieces, poems and prose all capture the beautiful essence of God.
Let the ideas flow!
Let’s talk.
So proud of you, D! You are an inspiration.
Thanks Nannette. BTW…I was wondering how much you would charge to shoot me.
