As we speak, I sit awaiting the start of an amazing evening that’s set launch a brand new NPO that aims to provide resources that’ll help bring education to those in impoverish communities, local and abroad.
The org is called Illuminate Interntional.
In addition to the overall mission of the group, the evening’s launch looks to be a creative collaboration of artists, activists and all-caring individuals united by one cause. I’m honored to be a part of this fantastic event.
Mike Kang, CEO and co-founder of the organization is fresh out of high school and stands as a great reminder that no one is too young to do good. His heart broke for a certain life issue and he did something about it.
Imagine if we all dove head first into the things we’re passionate about.
This world would be a little bit better than it is.
It also marks my return to the stage, as I’ll be opening and closing the event with a handful of Spoken Word pieces I’ve written in the past few months. It excites me and I’m looking forward to a launch of my own back onto the world’s stages.
How about you?
What are you passionate about and what can you do to make that journey a reality?
Let’s talk.
I’ve been sick all week and haven’t had a chance to really sit and read my blog list. I’m happy to read that you are diving deeply into your passions. It would be a tragedy if someone as talented as you did not.
Sorry to hear about your recent ailment. The Engoy household had our share of germ ridden battles.
Hi everyone,
I agree with Nannette. As I was thinking about journeys, Derrick, it’s a joy for me to witness all that you’re involved in and the invitations you have to make a difference in a world that needs inspiration…you have my support!
Thanks James. Can’t wait for you to get back!
